Laurie Denham has been the executive director of ASTL for seven years. During her tenure, ASTL has grown from a domestic to an international organization with offices and affiliates in Asia and India. She has broadened ASTL’s certification tracks for transportation/logistics professionals to a three-tier program. She also was the Managing Director of the Washington DC office of Association Global Services, an international association management company based in Brussels, Belgium.

Prior to association management, Mrs. Denham founded The Choice, Inc. a temporary staffing company. For 15 years she served as president and CEO, building the company to a mid–sized corporation with offices in Washington DC and Chicago. She is experienced in business development, training, marketing, corporate re-organization, and administration. She has served as a consultant to businesses seeking new product development. Mrs. Denham has served on the boards of the DeSisto School and the Junior League of Washington, and was president of the National Capitol Area Chapter of the National Human Resources Association. Mrs. Denham holds a Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee and is an Elder at The National Presbyterian Church.
